The core competence of ABAS is the development of flexible ERP and eBusiness software for midsize companies with up to 1,000 employees. The offices in Karlsruhe have 115 employees and including around 50 abas partners worldwide there is a total of approximately 600 employees.

abas Business Software consists of two components: abas ERP is a flexible ERP standard software, which optimizes business processes within a company. In addition, abas ERP provides a variety of web and eBusiness applications, such as product catalogs and webshops, which access ERP data.

abas Business Software can be run using Linux, Unix and Windows. ABAS has supported the open source operating system Linux on the server-side since 1995. Approximately 80% of over 2,200 abas installations are based on Linux. abas Business Software has been available in the front end range using Linux from Version 2003. Linux has proven to be a cost effective, stable and high performance system on both the server and the client side.
