Violino Ltd. first focused their business on foam and sponge processing. From 1990, Violino began to design and produce different kinds of sofas which are sold worldwide with the brand name Violino. For sofa business, Violino has made itself known not only in Asia but also in Europe, US and other countries all over the world with the brand name.

“Violino’s business has oriented itself toward the international market over the past two years. We have to deal with many data and deliver an average of 800 containers monthly”, Mr. Connie Ko, ERP Project Manager of Violino said.
“Since the function of the accounting system we used did not meet the demand of our business development, we planned to implement an ERP system. Finally we chose abas ERP. We are pleased that we found abas ERP solutions. Its design principle is to make a system adjust to user requirements. With customization, abas ERP fully suited our special demands.”
“In fact, the working procedures of sofa production are very complicated. There are differences of more than 10 colors, material combinations and 6 to 7 kinds of lignums. Furthermore, different screws, nails and shirrs are also used for assembly. Sponge production is also related to thousands of chemical raw-materials and the proportion needs to be controlled exactly.”
Benefit from abas ERP
Violino wanted to use the functions of accounting and production management in abas ERP to achieve data transformation and input in the system, so as to enhance the purchase, production and accounting management.
“During the period of ERP deployment, we asked for the participation of every department so that the system can fulfill user requirements. We benefited from abas ERP. For example, there is a specified production progress from a semi-finished sofa to a finished sofa, and we can update our clients on the progress when they inquire. We not only save space, but also make our job more efficient since our employees can find the info they need quickly after we save our production material in the system digitally.
In addition, all information on the respective customer, vendor, products and order status can be accessed at any time. So that our sales colleagues can login to the system to quote and see if the style, color or raw-material can be changed when they take part in the exhibition overseas. Thus increase the success rate of receiving orders.
Another important function of abas ERP is Human Resource Management. Take salary calculating as an example, we used 3 ways to calculate salary including fixed salary, hourly wages and piecework wages. It’s very hard work to do it by manual counting.
Nowadays, we use the abas ERP system to make the calculate in automotive and lighten the job pressure of accountants. Also, since the abas database works excellently, we can easily reconstruct stock movements, financial entries, sales and distribution processes and other, and easily produce the report in a final format. Besides, the great access control helps us protect our data.”
