During 30 years of company history, ABAS encountered many situations. From a rapid financial turnover to an integrated videogame and a desk solution for heavy smokers. Those timeless stories are shared many times within the abas network.

The first major transaction in the early 1980’s was the sale of sixteen computers to all universities in Baden-Wuerttemberg, the south-western state of Germany. Since the money of this transaction was sitting on an ABAS account for more than two weeks before being invoiced, ABAS decided to withdraw the money quickly and to deposit the amount at a different bank to receive interests. Facing a deadline, the money, carried in plastic bags and in multiple pockets of a winter coat, was be rushed across town to another bank. As the authorization was finished, the cash deposit of 360,000 Deutsche Mark gained 700 Deutsche Mark of interests and became a priceless story.

Dienes Werke für Maschinenteile GmbH & Co. KG, the worldwide leading supplier of industrial slitting technology and competent partner in the area of valve technology for piston and rotary compressors with seven international locations and over 500 employees, has opted for abas Business Software. In the future, 70 users will be working with abas ERP in Germany. Another 20 users will be added at the Dienes locations in the US and Hungary. The ABAS Projektierung GmbH in Cologne appreciates the trust of the Dienes project team and is looking forward to a successful project.

NIFCO, among other things, distributes plastic rivets for carpeting and interior lining in cars, cable runs for the automotive area as well as plastic clips for the outdoor area. Well-known companies such as Toyota Motor Corporation, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., Honda Motor Co., Ltd. and Suzuki Motor Corporation are among their customers. The ABAS Projektierung Rhein-Main GmbH & Co. KG is responsible for implementation and support of the ERP project.
