 A continuous upgrade strategy has always been the focus of theABAS Software AG. A new version of the abas Business Software is provided each year. New functions and technologies are always integrated into the software standard, abas users are always up-to-date. The current version 2007 of the abas Business Software (ERP, PPC, MRP, eBusiness) contains many innovations and functional upgrades. Many new and expanded infosystems support the day-to-day work. The new shipping processing represents various logistical processes, such as just-in-time. There are also innovations in warehouse management, costing, scheduling, EDI, service processing, financial accounting, and many more. All areas of the abas Portal were further developed: easier installation, new and improved standard applications (portlets) and improved administration tools. The eBusiness solution abas eB also provides expansions in Version 2007: the Webshop search now uses the open source Java library Lucene. Thus, large data sets can be searched faster. The ordering process was expanded by types of payment. |

 Peter Forscht, Chief Operating Officer at ABAS Software AG, presents the University of Technical Education in Ho Chi Minh City with over fourty abas ERP licenses. With this step, a tried and tested ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning) is available for the first time to university lecturers. The German software provider is thereby laying the groundwork for a business training center. The licenses also comprise future system upgrades. |

| "Catch the Job is the right way to show students what stands behind the term Karlsruhe technology region," summarizes Peter Walser, Chief Technology Officer and member of the management board of ABAS Software AG. The event "Catch the Job" is managed by the Cyberforum Karlsruhe. Twelve regional IT companies presented themsevles to 120 students at four locations throughout Karlsruhe.
