| Business software enables required flexibility The flexibility to constantly adapt to the changing demands of the market is one of the main strengths of the tool and machine manufacturer Schober. The evolutionary system approach of abas Business Software with its high functional degree of coverage in the standard provides a useful support. Customizing takes place based on a flexible interface programming so that the user is able to carry out adaptations himself. Everything centers around the customer, and at Schober GmbH, with main offices in Eberdingen, everything also centers around tools. Schober develops and produces rotary precision tools, built-in modules and machines for the paper-processing industry. The partnership between ABAS and Schober has been existent for over twelve years now. This might seem like an extraordinary long period in times of internet and globalization. Schober introduced the ERP system in 1992. Today, Schober has 40 licenses and a total of 85 abas clients are being used. The fact that abas ERP runs, and runs, and runs, can only be confirmed by Wick, for example with regard to the excellent upgrade properties. Implemented over night, the employees are able to work the next day as usual. |

 In the current ERP study 2005 of Konradin publishing the users were
also asked about their total investments for their ERP system.The advantages which an ERP solution provides to a user company are to be checked against the resulting costs incurred by the user. These depend on the number of workstations as well as the required services. The most important criteria in ERP selection are the amount of total investments needed until the system is productive. |

| The average investment for an ERP standard software amounts to 392,000
Euro. Around three-quarters of abas users managed with an investment
