2009 has been affected by recession and a reluctance to invest. Despite a decrease in turnover of 7.5%, ABAS has managed to remain in positive figures for the sixteenth year in a row. The overall performance of the Karlsruhe software manufacturer was kEUR 10,136 in 2009. The result from ordinary business activities was kEUR 443. The equity capital could be increased by 4.6% to kEUR 4,771. The equity capital amounts to a lofty 81% of the balance sheet total. On the basis of excellent liquidity, ABAS is financially independent and finances itself using its own resources. Confidence in the CEO and the supervisory board was unanimously confirmed in the shareholders' meeting for 2009. The annual shareholders' meeting approved payment of a dividend as follows: 8% on common shares and 12% on preferred shares.
