ABAS live from CeBIT: Everything is going to be alright...

The phrase written in the heading is often used ironically. With regards to CeBIT 2009, however, it is to be taken literally. If there was any skepticism with regards to the trade fair appearance by ABAS and its partners in the beginning, it was replaced with excitement within the first few days. In comparison to 2008, the abas stand was able to obtain both quantitatively as well as qualitatively valuable contacts. The trade fair appearance far exceeded expectations. One indication of this is that three orders were completed during the trade fair.
Positive signals for the IT industry
Despite the decrease in exhibitions, organizers and representatives from the high-tech industry gained a positive preliminary impression of the CeBIT computer trade fair. "CeBIT 2009 provides many companies with a sense of optimism," said August-Wilhelm Scheer, President of the industry organization BITKOM, in Hanover on Thursday. This presenting partners at the abas trade fair stand A 18 in hall 5 could only agree with that statement:

Mario Raatz, CEO of ABAS Projektierung in Cologne, does not see any signs of a crisis: "We are very satisfied. The number of contacts is within the same range as last year, yet the quality with regards to buying interest has drastically increased in comparison. We are optimistic about beginning the second quarter."

Raimund Koch from the sales department of ABAS Informationssysteme is more than satisfied with how the trade fair went: "I had mixed feelings about the trade fair when I was traveling to CeBIT because of reports I had heard beforehand. It far exceeded my expectations, however. There were numerous valuable conversations. Both the quality and the number of the contacts with interested parties are higher than last year."

Karsten Höltig from the sales department of ABAS Systemhaus Hamburg is also very satisfied with the trend of the trade fair: "The CeBIT contacts are incredibly valuable and can be best described as: Class, not mass! We are more than satisfied with the appearance in Hanover."

Thomas Weber from the sales department of abas system in Berlin gave the following preliminary review: "Despite expectations, we are very pleased with the trade fair trend. Even during the relatively low turnout on the first day there were some very interested contacts. This continued on the following days. We will generate a few projects from the trade fair appearance. The contacts were more valuable in comparison to 2008.

Vinzent Lau, CEO of the Chinese partner ABAS Business Solutions (PRC) has faith in CeBIT: "In times of difficulties, faith and confidence are more precious than gold. At the CeBIT this year, ABAS PRC maintains that our spirits do not slide and there are always more answers than questions!"
Three orders during the trade fair
There were also tangible successes at the CeBIT. The company Elbe Schleiftechnik GmbH & Co. from Bietigheim-Bissingen decided to become a new user during the trade fair. The company, recognized worldwide as a specialist for precision grinding manufactures high-efficiency tools, offers user-specific system solutions and procedures. Elbe opted for the abas Business Software on the basis of the international abas partner network and the flexibility of the system. The supporting abas partner is ABAS Informationssysteme GmbH.
ABAS Informationssysteme also gained the company Faist Anlagenbau GmbH in Krumbach as a new customer. FAIST Anlagenbau is a specialist for sound enclosures, filter house systems for power plants, acoustic test chambers, and aero-acoustic wind tunnels active worldwide. They were also impressed with the internationality and many satisfied reference users of the abas Business Software.
Last but not least, ABAS Projektierung GmbH in Cologne would like to welcome the company RBR Messtechnik GmbH as a new user. RBR Messtechnik has been developing, producing, and distributing ecom-brand flue gas analysis equipment and equipment for measuring and recording other physical quantities since 1985. The flexibility of the abas Business Software, the stability of the provider, and the option for OpenSource integration were the deciding factors in the decision to choose abas Business Software for 23 new users at RBR Messtechnik.
