ABAS live from CeBIT 2007

Hannover, 19.03.2007 – Many things were written in the run-up to Cebit. Everyone agreed that 2007 would be trend-setting. It is correct that some exhibitors of the past years, mostly from the consumer area, absented themselves from the event. It is, however, also correct that CeBIT is still one of the largest trade fairs worldwide to present digital solutions from the areas information and communication technology. Approximately 250,000 guests from medium-sized businesses alone are expected. At present, medium-sized businesses are also the driving force of the trade cycle. In the past year, over 800,000 jobs were created in medium-sized businesses, the order books of many companies are full, there is a pressure to invest, CeBIT is the driving force. The mood at the ABAS stand in hall 5, stand A18 is positive. After having had a stupenduous start into 2007, numerous trade fair contacts ensure ABAS and the abas software partners a successful course of the year.

Sven Hartmann"If someone is looking for an ERP solution at CeBIT it can be found in halls 4 and 5. The abas trade fair stand is strategically placed between both halls, so that visitors inevitably pass our stand. We are very impressed by the qualtiy of our trade fair contacts," summarize Sascha Clever and Sven Hartmann from the ABAS Projektierung the trade fair up to now. Sascha Clever continues: "For me as a new colleague of the "abas family", CeBIT was the perfect opportunity to get to know many colleagues. I had already heard a lot of the "Spirit of ABAS". Reality even exceeded all expectations. I am thrilled."

Sonja NelsonSonja Nelson from the abas partner Interaktive is pleased with the new abas trade fair stand: "The trade fair stand's design is clear, light and sophisticated. Its openness invites visitors. The presentation of reference users on the industry pillars and the screen presentation with great images and quotes from content abas users, did the rest to place the trade fair stand in the focus. The customers and prospective customers are more and more realizing the added value of the abas Business Software, such as internationality, eBusiness or the evolutionary system character of the software. The philosophy behind ABAS is thrilling."

Rolf Noss from the abas partner SteinhilberSchwehr GmbH also draws a positive interim result: "On Thursday alone I had four top-class first contacts. I would have never made these contacts if I hadn't been at CeBIT. The new trade fair stand is like a magnet. The design of and the reference selling at the new trade fair stand literally attract prospective customers. So far, I am very content with the trade fair and am looking forward to the next days."

Hassan El-BannaHassan El-Banna, BT Applied Technology, Saudi Arabia: "CeBIT is an established platform for information technology. The number of international trade experts is high. We had numerous contacts from the Arabic states. In all areas the economy is booming in these countries, especially in production, trade and services. Many companies are growing and are investing in a business software. All visitors were positively surprised ithat we were able to greet them in their national language at the abas stand. This broke the ice quickly. We were able to initiate concrete projects."

"The Monday and Tuesday traditionally are the strongest trade fair days concerning the number of contacts. In the run-up to CeBIT we invited many companies. CeBIT is an excellent platform for personal talks. The past days were very good, even on Sunday we were able to welcome prospective customers with real purchase intentions at the trade fair stand. We will be very busy after CeBIT." Uwe Lange, abas system GmbH.

Fred HilserFred Hilser from the abas partner SteinhilberSchwehr AG looks positively at the trade fair: "We are from Southern Germany. Generally, we don't have that many contacts at CeBIT. However, among the contacts in 2007, there were as many high-qualified ones as rarely before."

Silvia HandrickSilvia Handrick from the abas partner alltrotec GmbH: "We already had interesting talks. We especially notice an increased interest in the detailed planning which is integrated into the abas Business Software. We have made most of our appointments in the second half of CeBIT, we are looking forward to three more exciting days."

Tobias Käfer"Application integration has also reached medium-sized businesses. This can be confirmed by the many talks at the trade fair stand," says Tobias Käfer from the abas eB development. "Here, in the CeBIT version of our abas Portal we offer the visualization of key figures from abas ERP or any other systems, data and services. An additional use is created through the combination of different information and data. The positive experiences large companies have made with application integration are also more and more realized by medium-sized companies.

ABAS COO Peter Forscht summarizes the trade fair as follows: "We have far-ranging innovations in the current version of the abas Business Software, which are excellently accepted by the market. Examples for this are abas eB with the abas Portal, abas ERP/Automotive, or the international version of the abas Business Software. Globalization has reached medium-sized businesses. At present we are able to register a great interest. ABAS and its software partners have already realized a number of country-spanning projects. It is important for ABAS to cooperate with competent software partners abroad. Thus, short reaction times and a qualified support can be ensured in the respective countries. In this regard, CeBIT is also an excellent platform to initiate new partnerships."

The company Moll opts for abas Business Software

Contract conclusion at CEBITAlready on the second day of CeBIT 2007, the ABAS Software AG was pleased with a contract conclusion. In the future, the company Moll bauökologische Produkte GmbH will organize the company using abas ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning). Moll, which can be found on the Internet at www.proclima.de, provides special solutions regarding the sealing of the building casing. "We anticipate an increase in sales volume. If new building or renovation, many houses are not up-to-date in terms of heat insulation. Avoiding structural damages, increasing energy costs and the discussion about climate protection convinces more and more house builders that it is worth to invest something. pro clima's products are good - as can be confirmed through the increased demand. Therefore, we were looking for a software which would reliably support the various business areas and would cope with an expansion," explains Moll's CEO Bartholomäi.

The company management was convinced that instead of a large kit, ABAS provides a comprehensive standard which can be adjusted directly to the individual requirements of the company through the flexible interface. All jobs and processes in the company can be depicted. For a fast connection to other systems, a very flexible tool for business communication can be used with the eBusiness solution which is connected to the ERP software. For about 6 months Moll was dealing with various ERP solutions. The abas solution was short-listed at an early stage, all favored systems were tested intensely. The large number of references is very impressive. The ABAS Projektierung Rhein/Main alone gave us 50 addresses and the offer, to talk to them directly. The ABAS analysis tool is also interesting, using the connected "ERP Analyzer", many evaluations are available in realtime. In the end, the decision was made for ABAS due to the methodical implementation concept and the guaranteed future of the abas software.
