Fit with ABAS - So far two new contract conlusions at SYSTEMS 2006

SYSTEMS is one of the most important IT trade fairs for Southern Germany, neighboring Austria and the German-speaking part of Switzerland.

What the German Health Minister Ulla Schmidt initiated was promptly realized by the SYSTEMS organizers. According to the minister 3000 additional steps per day would really benefit public health according to the minister. Since the main entrance of SYSTEMS was moved from West to East, many visitors had already achieved their daily quota for a new quality of life once they reached the abas stand. Thus, this Monday the trade fair started with a slight delay at the abas stand. The numerous, highly qualified discussions with trade fair visitors which were not only interested in their own health but also in the well-being of their company were therefore much appreciated.

"We are very content with the trade fair," summarizes Peter Renski who is responsible for sales at the ABAS Projektierung group this year's SYSTEMS, and he adds: Compared to the last year, the number of interesting trade fair contacts has increased for our locations in Karlsruhe, Langen and Cologne. This emphasizes the importance of the trade fair and the nationwide character of the event. Systems provides an excellent platform to present ourselves as abas group and to live the "Spirit of ABAS"."

For Heinz Koldt, CEO of the abas partner Koldt GmbH from Munich, the "home game" at SYSTEMS was a success so far: "Tuesday and Wednesday compensated for the cautious start of the trade fair on Monday. SYSTEMS is one of the most important IT trade fairs for Southern Germany, neighboring Austria and the German-speaking part of Switzerland. In the run-up to the trade fair we had already arranged over 50 appointments with prospective customers. There is another cause for happiness at Koldt on Thursday. The company TagStart Systems GmbH, a manufacturer of RFID technology, signed a contract to implement the abas Business Software on the abas trade fair stand.

The abas partner ABAS Informationssysteme GmbH from Uhingen is also able to announce a contract conlusion. Already on Monday, when SYSTEMS just started, CST Holding decided on the the abas Business Software. In a first step 10 users will be supported by the abas Business Software when optimizing the internal and external business processes of the company which operates in mechanical engineering and electronics. No wonder that Bernhard Schmid, CEO at ABAS Informationssysteme GmbH speaks positively about SYSTEMS: "So far we are very content with the trade fair. SYSTEMS is the IT trade fair for Southern Germany. Numerous prospective customers followed our invitation to the abas trade fair stand and we have many appointments for the two last days of the trade fair. Even in times of the Internet the face-to-face contact on a real trade fair cannot be replaced. According to the motto: "You cannot Email a handshake and you cannot fax a smile", SYSTEMS is an excellent platform to live the spirit of ABAS. Our visitors like that very much."

Peter Mötzig, Head of sales at the abas partner SteinhilberSchwehr AG summarizes the trade fair in a positive way. We are very content with the high quality of the specialist discussions. Medium-sized businesses are more and more thinking internationally. With the abas Business Software we have the perfect offer. One does not simply activate a switch to operate the software e.g. in Chinese. In fact, ABAS has a worldwide network of highly-qualified software partners. The know-how regarding the abas Business Software is available with very little reaction time to the users in their respective country."

"The abas Automotive solution was greeted with a lot of interest at SYSTEMS," says Ralf Hassmann from the abas partner ABAS Automotive GmbH. And: "We were able to have many highly-qualified talks. Many medium-sized automotive suppliers are located in Bavaria and the neighboring Baden Württemberg. For this, SYSTEMS is the ideal platform to present abas ERP/Automotive."

René Kapellen, responsible for the eBusiness support at the ABAS Software AG, was impressed by the trade fair:  "If two or three years ago eBusiness was still equated with an Internet shop, the focus is now more and more switching to the integration of various applications and the depiction of processes along the value added chain. The discussions at SYSTEMS made clear that eBusiness has reached medium-sized businesses in its entirety. The interest in abas eB is as high as never before. I am very content with the trade fair."

The abas partners Helmut Kölbl and Markus Messerschmidt, CEOs of interactive, which hase been involved with the ABAS Software AG for over 10 years, really liked the "great atmosphere" and the spirit which made the abas stand at the trade fair stand out from many other exhibitors. Not only progressiveness, newest innovations and the established topics are used for convincing, but also a smile and the collective fun when working. "This is one of our main features," explained H. Kölbl last night, so that prospective customers feel really comfortable. The trust that was built in many successful dialogues was palpable and several positive partnerships will for sure arise from this year's IT trade fair in Southern Germany. The team from Würzburg will definitely use these experiences during the last trade fair days to round off the arleady satisfactory overall result.

Another highlight at SYSTENS is the panel discussion which will be carried out in the course of the ERP/CRM forum: "Software-Evaluation – Can advisors really be of help?" On October 27, 2006, ABAS COO Peter Forscht will be answering the questions of interested trade fair visitors in Hall A1.406-35.
