CeBIT 2006: Successful trade fair trend for ABAS  
     
  abas stand at CeBITKarlsruhe, March 29, 2006 - On its 20th anniversary CeBIT exceeds all expectations: the top class trade visitors showed willingness to invest and the IT trade fair has once more proven to be an excellent platform. The ERP and eBusiness specialist abas Software AG from Karlsruhe and its international sales partners are very content with the trade fair trend - CeBIT not only was a means to make new contacts, but also to approach real projects, the signs for the next months are very promising.  
     
  Positive impetus for the IT industry  
     
  CeBIT 2006In the run-up to CeBIT the forecasted upswing in the IT sector already raised spirits. Thus, the trade fair shone through as the worldwide most important B2B platform of the IT sector - with stories of success and confident prospects for the business year 2006.

Approximately 50% of the trade visitors come to Hannover with precise investment projects. The fact that medium-sized businesses are again making more investments was noticeable at ABAS. Even though the number of trade fair visitors was almost the same as the previous year, the number of prospective customers willing to make investments was considerable larger.
 
     
  Internationality gains more and more importance  
     
 

The number of international guests which already constitutes a third of the visitors, has also increased considerably. Sales partners from China, the Middle East and Spain were represented at the abas trade fair stand. They were also able to aquire top quality leads and to approach real projects.

Peter Forscht, COO of ABAS Software AG: "We were thrilled by the number of international contacts. Our partners from the Middle East, Iran and China welcomed many qualified visitors from their countries. The abas Business Software is available in over 22 countries. In the meantime this has top priority for German medium-sized businesses. We were able to celebrate one of the largest contract conclusions in the history of abas on the trade fair. This new customer operates in 10 countries."

Hassan El-Banna, Marketing Manager of the Arabic sales partner BT Applied Technology was positively surprised by CeBIT: "CeBIT is a worldwide center for information technology. The number of international trade experts is higher than at any other event. We had excellent contacts from the Middle East. All visitors were positively surprised that we were able to greet them in their national language at the abas stand. This broke the ice quickly. We were able to initiate concrete projects."

 
     
  Three contract conclusions on the CeBIT trade fair stand  
     
  The abas sales partners were able to sign three orders on the trade fair. abas system gmbh was able to gain GOM Gesellschaft für Optische Messtechnik mbH, located in Braunschweig with branches in Ulm and four other locations in Europe, as a new customer. Decisive arguments for the abas Business Software were the platform independence and internationality, as well as the positive references.  
     
  Large interest in highlight topics regarding ERP and eBusiness  
     
  Large interest in highlight topics regarding ERP and eBusiness The trade fair visitors caught up on the solution for medium-sized businesses, the abas Business Software (ERP, MRP, PPC, eBusiness). Especially the integration of RFID systems into abas ERP, as well as the new portal solution found favors with the visitors, also the new service center, data exchange between several production locations (MultiSite), the international focus, as well as enhancements in all function areas of abas Business Software.
