The following EDI functions are available to the abas user: delivery schedules, JIT delivery schedules, packing slips, credit notes, invoices, sales orders, order confirmations, product price lists, purchase order amendments, dispatch handling, ESP/VLC development, consignment warehouse, as well as packing material management.

Version 2005 of the abas Business Software includes new functions, messages and infosystems in the area of Electronic Data Interchange. By means of the configurable EDI interface as in-house format , it is possible to depict outgoing delivery schedules, purchase orders and invoices. The workflow for outgoing delivery schedules is supported by an infosystem: the individual work steps for sending the delivery schedules are comprised in an infosystem and can be executed there comfortably. It is furthermore possible to record JIT delivery schedules using an infosystem. There are also new functions for the packing material management: the packing instructions for a customer are recorded and can then be transferred to a packing slip by the press of a button.
